Race Report

RACE-2 THE QUEZON CITY RATING 55-30 (CLASS 4) 1100 METRES (339)

1 Great China (A Calder) –Was restrained from the wide alley and crossed over behind the field to obtain a position on the rail. Was held up for a short distance approaching the 200 metres.
2 Strong Alloy (H Lam) –Jumped away awkwardly and became unbalanced.
3 Nam Kee's Treasure (W L Ho) –Shortly after the start had to be restrained off the heels of 7 Golden Bullet which shifted in when not quite clear. Jockey K H Yu the rider of 7 Golden Bullet was severely reprimanded and notified that he must be fully clear when shifting ground at all times. After passing the 800 metres was hampered and taken out off its course by 6 Wan Shi Sheng which shifted out slightly when awkwardly placed close to heels.
4 Impeccable Genius (C F Chan) –Trainer K S Ho advised that he would be instructing the rider C F Cahn to settle the gelding behind the speed today in an attempt to allow it to finish off the event. Was ridden accordingly. Shortly after the start was placed in restricted room between 6 Wan Shi Sheng and 3 Nam Kee's Treasure which was taken in by 7 Golden Bullet. After passing the 800 metres had to be restrained to avoid the heels of 6 Wan Shi Sheng which, after shifting out slightly, then shifted back in. Near the 700 metres had to be steadied when disappointed for a run to the inside of 6 Wan Shi Sheng Yi.
6 Wan Shi Sheng Yi (A Aucharuz) –After passing the 800 metres was awkwardly placed near heels resulting in its rider becoming unbalanced.
7 Golden Bullet (K H Yu) – Commenced to raced keenly for some distance passing the 800 metres. Rider K H Yu was reminded of his obligations to ride all his mounts fully to the line when circumstances permit. The Stewards did not believe that his actions had any bearing on the result of the race.
