Race Report

RACE-2 THE MACAU RACE HORSE OWNERS ASSOCIATION PLATE RATING 60-40 (CLASS 3&4) 1200 METRES (393)

1 Lobor Treasure (K K Lai) –Shifted inwards when the gates were released and made contact with 11 Chinese Scholar, as a result lost some ground. Over raced through the early and middle stages.
3 River God Choi (K W Leong) –Was slow into stride.
4 Your Friend (A Calder) –Prior to “correct weight” the Stewards viewed the patrol videos before deciding not to lodge an objection on behalf of the connection of the 4th place getter. Approaching the 100 metres was bumped outwards by 9 Felizmaster which shifted outward to obtain a clear run.
7 Great Party (B Yamzon) –Raced wide without cover throughout.
8 Dr Definitely (A Aucharuz) –Rider was questioned regarding his riding rounding the home turn. He stated that although he had the opportunity to come to the outside of 9 Felizmaster near the 450 metres, if he had done so it would have forced him very wide rounding the home turn and for this reason, he elected to follow his instructions which was to stay close to the rail, thereby saving ground. Whilst noting his explanation, the Stewards reminded Jockey A Aucharuz that he must ride all his mounts in such a manner as to leave no room for query.
9 Felizmaster (R Curatolo) –Was slow into stride. For some distance rounding the home turn was held up when unable to improve its position. From the entrance into the straight until near the 100 metres had difficulty in obtaining a clear run.
