Race Report

RACE-1 THE SINKIANG RATING 30-0 (CLASS 6) 1200 METRES (43)

2 Mission Fame (L Salles) –Resaddled behind the barriers. Bumped on jumping away by 6 St Pedder which shifted in. Leaving 900 metres commenced to hang out and near the 700 metres shifted out inconveniencing 4 Great Tiger. 5 River Freedom which was following was steadied a short distance later when 2 Mission Fame shifted back in.
3 Bowl Lucky (K H Yu) –Rider reported that his mount traveled well throughout, however when placed under pressure was one paced in the run to the finish. He added that 3 Bowl Lucky maybe suited to races over a longer distance. A swab was taken for analysis. A post race veterinary examination revealed that there was blood coming from the gelding’s left nostril.
5 River Freedom (W Smith) –Was slow to begin. Steadied near the 700 metres. Rider W Smith reported that he was unable to fully ride his mount out over the concluding stages due to runners in front of him shifting ground. The Stewards noted his explanation.
6 St Pedder (B Yamzon) –Bumped 2 Mission Fame on jumping away. Near the 50 metres blundered and became unbalanced for a short distance.
7 Explosive Blast (A Aucharuz) –Trainer K M Chin explained that in his opinion the change back to the turf track and the drop back in distance had contributed to the gelding’s improved performance today.
9 Concentration (R Curatolo) –Raced wide without cover throughout.
12 Delight Consul (Y M Choi) –Was marginally slow to begin. Raced wide rounding the home turn.
