Race Report

RACE-1 THE ROSE RATING 40-20 (CLASS 5) 1500 METRES (13)

1 Tornado Force (W Smith) – Performed below market expectations; Rider stated that his mount failed to respond to riding when placed under pressure in the straight; A post race veterinary examination and swab was ordered by the Stewards.
2 So True So Fake (B Yamzon) – Poor performance, Rider reported that his mount failed to respond to his riding and he had concerns with its action; A post race veterinary examination was ordered by the Stewards.
4 Road To Victory (L Salles) – Poor performance, Rider reported that his mount failed to respond to his riding when placed under pressure; A post race veterinary examination was ordered by the Stewards.
5 Far Reaching (J Cordero) –Over raced through the early and middle stages; Rider explained that, with the application of blinkers to 5 Far Reaching today, he had been instructed to ride the gelding positively from the barrier and after beginning well, 5 Far Reaching had a tendency to over race. J Cordero added that due to the gelding laying out he was unable to cross down to the fence as he intended, therefore covering extra ground.
6 My Eternal Flame (W L Ho) –Was examined behind the barriers by the Veterinary Surgeon at the request of its rider and passed fit to race; Reared after the gates were released and lost considerable ground; Rider reported his mount hesitated at the start and thereafter was off the bit. He added in his opinion that the aged gelding may not have backed after last week’s run.
8 Strong Wind (C F Chan) –After being fractious in the barriers, was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to race; Raced wide without cover until obtaining a position closer to the rails passing the 700 metres.

1 Tornado Force (W Smith) – A post race veterinary examination of 1 Tornado Force which performed below market expectations failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
2 So True So Fake (B Yamzon) – A post race veterinary examination of 2 So True So Fake which performed poorly failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
4 Road To Victory (L Salles) – A post race veterinary examination of 4 Road To Victory which performed poorly failed to reveal any significant abnormality.
