Race Report

RACE-6 THE FORTALEZA RATING 85-60 (CLASS 2) 1350 METRES (162)

1 Red Dragon (L Corrales) –At the 200 metres had to be steadied and shifted outwards to avoid the heels of 12 Perfect Alloy which shifted out marginally under pressure. Disappointing. Rider reported that his mount lost momentum in the straight when inconvenienced by 12 Perfect Alloy. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant.
2 Brave Flying Hawk (W H Lao) –Commenced awkwardly and lost ground.
4 Korean Dream (D Chong) – Near the 200 metres, rider accidently dropped his whip. Jockey D Chong was issued with a severe reprimand as it was his first offence of this nature.
9 My Masterpiece (C F Chan) – Jockey C F Chan was examined by the Club’s Medical Officer after an incident in the barriers and was passed fit to ride. Near the 200 metres, rider accidently dropped his whip. Jockey C F Chan was issued a fine of HK$2,000. In arriving at penalty, the Stewards took into account his recent record.
