Race Report

RACE-2 THE LUCKY STAR RATING SPECIAL (SPECIAL) 1000 METRES (164)

2 Companion (W T Pao) –Jumped away awkwardly and lost ground.
6 My Favourites (C F Chan) –Rider reported that his mount may have bled during the running of the race. A subsequent endoscopic examination revealed a grade 4 hemorrhage in the trachea.
8 Baohu Star (M Cangas) –Near the 250 metres had to be steadied when disappointed for a run where there was insufficient room between 9 Wine Buddies and 10 Rio Party.
9 Wine Buddies (C F Wong) –Was hard ridden out of the barriers and as a result settled in a more forward position than at its most recent starts. Dipped on several occasions after passing the 800 metres. Trainer Y C Fung was reminded of his obligation that he must advise Stewards of any significant change of tactics on his runners.
10 Rio Party (W H Lao) –Raced keenly in the middle stages and had to be steadied off the heels of 3 Brave Horse.
